Bad tank week...

Treated tank with red slime remover 3 weeks ago. That was a success. Algae wasn't that bad. Made my HOB ReefOcto skimmer go CRAZY so I shut it down. Tried again but still going crazy. Did 3 RO/DI water changes this past 2 weeks (20%). NOW, I have a dark yellow algae bloom in my tank. Making more water for another change. My 10 corals and 5 fish are showing no stress so that's good. 90 gallon tank. Sometimes I wonder if I enjoy the problems so I can mess with the system........ Not after this one!

P.S. my reef octopus HOB skimmer is still going wild!

For your skimmer, have you tried messing with the air intake at all? That may help.
