Ballast to run 2 72" VHO's?

AT work they have icecap bulbs on clerance, $5 each!! So, they only have actinic 72" so I think I'll pick up 4 of them for when I get my 180 this summer, and run my MH's whith them. What ballast can I use that is decently cheap? I think a icecap 660 would work great but if I could get a cheaper one that would work as well that would be great

CoralVue will be having there VHO ballast coming out very shortly. It will retail somewhere between $135-140. It is basically the same as the ice cap. It even will use the same connector!

Will I still need to buy the endcaps and power cord seperate? I'm assuming I do. Corlavue has kits I've seen at work but they are in the $250 range and I don't think they could handle 72" bulbs?

I don't have any suggestions about using one ballast to run that much power, but...

You could use two Fulham workhorse ballasts if you wanted. Two Workhorse 7's would run you around $100 at a local electrical supply warehouse.

The coral vue ballast will be entirely new. They will be VHO and not the T-5 that is out now and will light (2) 72" bulbs fine!
