Hey Guys,

I recently got a 150 gallon tank I was thinking about using as a Shark aquarium. I wanted to get a Banded Cat Shark Egg since then the newly hatched shark would be small and could grow in the aquarium as opposed to being large at the time of purchase.

How long does it take these eggs to hatch and what conditions should be provided for them? Also, how hard is it to get the shark to feed once hatched.

It should take 1-6 weeks to hatch, depending on how old the egg is. Most places (that I have seen) will not guarantee that all eggs will hatch. As for feeding, you could use live feeder shrimp or I think they like crustaceans and will need a sandy substrate. They also need 180 G tank at adult size....
