Bargain Alert, Bargain alert.

For all of you who wished you had a better way to tell the temp in your tank, Radio Shack is selling a $20, digital indoor/outdoor thermometer on clearance for 4.97. The "outdoor" probe is water proof. I bought 4 of them and just tested one and it works in the tank 8) . Teh part number is 63-1009A for those who are interested.

Just watch out for corrosion on the probe. Waterproof is not the same as saltwater-proof. If it's not the right type of stainless steel it will rust easily.

Good call. But it's plastic . The metal hook (guess it's a nail hook) comes right off.

These things are disappearing fast. 8O My local radio shack had 12 yesterday, I got 4, that left 8. Today I went back to buy some more and they are all gone.
