Best place for a Tridacna Clam?

Just curious to know what the best place is to put a small ( maybe 2-3 inch) clam? I've read various levels of the aquarium.. everywhere from the substrate, to if rockwork will allow it, the higher the better. I know these things grow huge eventually..I know the rock can support a good amount of weight..I was told when I bought it to " put it as high as you can"

I have 2 x 150watt MH lights ( only one on at the moment, above the clam) and 2 x 96 watt PC 50/50 bulbs.

Its pretty small, and seems pretty happy high in the tank... should I bother moving it?

Just curious to see what others think.

Heres a pic, and a pic of the tnak ( its on the very top rock)

Thanks!

I've read that smaller clams have a thinner membrane on them and should be treated accordingly. Not sure what level he should be at to begin with though...

I have a mix of many different saltwater fish amongst my tanks, but I love my Tangs most of all.

That looks like a crocea. They like to be on the rocks and need lots of light. It's probably fine where you have it. If it already attached itself, don't try to move it.
Got Tridacna art
