My blenny is picky at my leather will it harm it are is it just cleaning it?

It may be eating algae that has built up on the leather or it may actually be nipping on the leather. If it persists or makes the leather close and stay closed, I would remove the blenny, they tend to have a reputation as sps nippers, so I would be wary of them to begin with.
