Bird of paradise

I just bought a new bird of paradise colony. I put it low in the tank to start off with, will it be ok low or will I need it high, I don't have alot of room left in my tank towards the ceiling, oh and the lights I have are ai sols.

Should be fine in the lower portion. How deep is the tank? May want to put it in the middle to be safe. I have ponapes bn about 15" below a kessil 150 and it grows like a weed.
