I know that it is a bristle worm but I've gotten mixed results on good and bad
I have a few in my tank one is almost 2 inches long when I saw it this morning
Are they good or bad

Good scavengers. They get a bad rep because something does overnight and we come down the next morning to see them eating an almost dead coral or clam. They are doing us a favor and very beneficial member of the cuc. If you start seeing a ton or ones over 6" you are probably over feeding. A 2" is fine.

Bristleworms = good
Fireworms = bad
I have tons of bristleworms in my tank. They are all 2 inches or smaller, and they do a great job cleaning up for me. I have a feeling I overfeed, so I need to watch that or I will end up with insanely large worms, but, so far, I have been truly gald to have them.

I've seen these little test tube-looking traps thats have krill in the back that end up catching these sometimes nuisance worms. Might try looking into that?

Or try putting in something that predates them
