Brittle Star Attacked my CBS

I looked over and saw my CBS molting, then all of a sudden the Brittle Star started attacking the shrimp. It was actually grabbing the shrimp and pulling it towards it. Grabbed the digital camera but didn't had any space..Sigh :? Has anyone heard of this happening? This is the first time I've ever seen this occur.

Brittle stars are opportunists and all shrimp are fair game after a molt. Everything in the tank is a threat while it's vulnerable, not just the starfish. Were you able to intervene and is your shrimp ok?

The shrimp managed to pull away from the starfish.
