Bubble Algae

I had to share this picture of this massive bubble algae. This stuff drives me crazy!!

Emerald crabs will get rid of it quick.

First problem with this approach is that sometimes they won't eat it...... they may chose to go after your nice, meaty corals. The other problem is that, if they are eating the green bubbles, every time they eat one, they are popping it open and just further spreading the problem. The stuff is a royal PITA, but the best way for eradication is as the video above shows...... Or, if you can remove the rock, do so & pluck it off over the sink and then rinse with clean SW in case a bubble was broken.
 
I'd agree with phranque, plucking them off outside the tank is the best method. I try my darndest to not add critters to attack an issue unless there is no other way. I havent had much bubble algae but it has always been plucked off by me with tweezers and ALOT of care.
