bubble algae removal - am I ok now

I removed the pcs of LR that had the two bubble algae on it today and removed the algae. Both spheres broke in the process (outside of water).
Since then I have put the pcs of LR in a bucket with water I removed from the tank for a water change. Am I OK to replace this pcs of LR to the tank or is there a big risk of spreading the bubble algae? The pcs of LR in question has been in the bucket for about 2 hrs now.

I think you will be fine. The spores will probably be gone. Just dunk the rock in and out of the water a few times to remove any loose stuff on it. You can also turkey baster it off.
