Bug like Shrimp thing

One day i looked at my saltwater reef tank and I saw these shrimp like bug things crawling all over the the sand and I do not know what they are. I think they are from this rock I picked of a beach, but I boiled the rock for about 5 mins and them left it on dry land.

Dose anyone know what they are

A pic would help but from the sound of it it could be a copepod(sp) witch are good.

I know it is not a copepod it is much bigger.

How big is it? I have seen some prety big pods but not bigger then a small shrip.

It is about 3cms

what about amphipods? they can get huge! iv got tons of them in my fuge, and they are kinda close to that size.

I also have "shrimp like" bugs crawling on my LR. Google amphipods. Pretty sure that's what mine are. The pics I found look awfully close
