Couldn't find a definitive answer via searching, so I'll ask here...

I have a "stock" 48" Oceanic double lighting strip for a 72 gallon bowfront which states that it's compatible with T5, T8 or T12 bulbs. Given that I'm starting out FOWLR, can someone enlighten me regarding the best bulb options for LR coralline algae growth?

Additionally, would the recommendations from above suffice for any low light requirement invertebrates, such as shrooms, or are we talking upgraded lighting? TIA.

forget about t 12's they are not great but will work in a pinch not very efficent and dont put out that much light

t8's are good
t5's is the better of the 3 more efficent more light per lumen but run a little hotter
