A few Questions. I find the bumble bee snail to be quite interesting and the price is acceptible.

1. are they good scavengers? Do they eat the brown algea I have growning on my sand now?

2. How many should I purchase for a 37 gallon cube?

3. Does anyone recommend a different snail over these? and if so, why?

thanks!

I have had bumblebees, they ended up dying after a while. Almost all snails do, from falling on their shell or maybe eating something they shouldn't.

Bumblebees are more scavengers than algae eaters. They come out mostly at night unless they smell food in the tank. If you want diatom eaters go for Astrea or Ceriths.
