Burr or Porcupine

We are trying to determine if our fish is a porcupine puffer or a Burr
The spikes on its body stand straight up all of the time. It looks like a puffer but their spikes seem thinner and don't stand all of the time.

Also, it's belly seems to be sunk in, is this normal?

A poc puffers spike will lay flat unless it puffs up. I would call yours a spiny box fish (Chilomycterus schoepfi).

I would say it is normal to see them in this condition, but I would think it is not a sign of good health.

My son's girlfriend had the fish and her tank developed ICK, since my son has his fish in a QT tank anyway because of the same problem, they added this one. He is doing much better than first arrived about 2 weeks ago, but we never see him really eat anything. But he moves around and looks much better without the white spots. We were concerned about the stomach though.

Thanks for your help
