I have a deep sand bed of sugar fine oolitic sand and was wondering if this is good for burrowing fish. I want to get either a pistol shrimp+watchman goby combo or a blue dot jawfish. I'm not sure if oolitic would be alright, or if crushed coral would be better. Seems like the oolitic might collapse a lot easier.

You might want to put the rocks in first then add sand. A pistol will move enough sand to make the rocks shift and fall. Possibly breaking glass.
