Button polyp not opening during the day

Ever since I have gotten some button polyp it only opens up at night and during the day its closed. I have 2 different pieces, one on the bottom and one in the middle top of my tank. What could be the problem. Its the standard brown, green polyp. All my other corals are open fully.

If you got them at your LFS, what type of lighting were they using? How long ago did you get them? Which one isnt opening, the one on the bottom or middle?

When did you get them? If you just added them they might need time to acclimate to your lighting and surroundings.

I got them about 5 months ago and got them from 2 different places. Their lighting was cf lighting. the one in the top middle is kinda in a shaded area and its partially open and the one at the bottom is closed. when the light shuts off at night they open wide up. its strange.

Try putting them on the bottom of your tank. maybe the light is too strong for them
