In the process of doing some rewiring I inadvertently tripped the timer on my calcium doser and didn't notice it until I had dosed about an entire weeks worth of calcium in less than a day. So far the only adverse reaction I'm seeing is that the skimmer doesn't skim. I'm intending to just keep the calcium doser off until the corresponding Ash doser has completed its weekly dose. Anyone know any reason why I should not just "ride out" the high calcium until it is naturally absorbed? Any other solutions besides large water changes?

I would do a couple big wcs to get your levels back to normal, while not as bad as an alk swing, a rapid change can still stress/kill coral

I would watch the alk closely as the calcium dose could drive that down and a low alk level is more dangerous than the high cal level. A couple of water exchanges should help.
