Alk 1.022
Calcium around 560-580

I have ready about dosing with baking soda. Is it the general baking soda like arm and hammer from the store or a specific kind? I tested my alk and it was 1.024 and after adding purified water and reef water my alk went down to 1.022 maybe even 1.021. I would like to lower my calcium it's only been about an hour and I see a slight snowstorm forming. Looking for advice, Thanks in advance.

Any idea how it got that high? Adding anything other than salt to your mix?

Only way I know to lower it is dilution.. PWC

Unless the calcium is in my crushed coral bed. My Maroon Clown has been kicking up the crushed coral with his tail and even picking it up in his mouth and moving it. So unless stirring up the gravel may do it.
