Can a percula clown change colors?

We have a true percula and a black/brown? Percula. The true looks like its turning black. Maybe that's just his coloration? But he had no black on him a week ago. Except for what out lined his white stripes. Probably a dump question.

I have a percula clown and it was pure orange when I was cycling my tank with him. After the parameters were evened out he slowly turned a darker orange with slight slight grey. So I am not sure.

Yes they can change color.
