Can anyone give me a good reason why I should keep my PS?

Can anyone give me a good reason why I should keep my Protein Skimmer?

Its been nothing but a pain. I think I need a bigger airpump or something, but some people suggest is the airstone. If I need more air going through there, shouldnt it be the airflow and not the stone?????

This is just a reason for you to get a new skimmer

I think it has alot to do with smaller bubles when they are talking about changing the air stone. Smaller bubbles have more surfacer area, and they also take longer to float to the surface. Which is what you want in a skimmer, more dwell time to collect the dissolved solids.
