Can coral be rare

I just picked up some zoanthids and everywhere I read they say they are rare polyps I'm not sure if they are but they are called purple hornet and red hornet I also got watermelon zoas and and I think they are called gobstopper are they really rare?

They are rare in a sense that they are slow growers, unlike things like eagle eyes, that grow polyps overnight.
