Happy Holidays Everyone,

I am going to have to tear down one of my tanks. Husband got laid off Friday and I just can't afford to keep 2 going. My newest tank has a 4 inch DSB, and my question is...can I put the CC from my established tank in the sump? The CC is so full of "life" that I had hoped to be able to use some of it, just didn't want to mix it with the DSB.
I don't have any lighting in the sump tho.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What is in there that might need light? You can put it in a plastic colander on the sand bed for a few days and any worms or pods will migrate to the sand bed, then it can be removed and dried and saved for when you can set the other tank back up.

I'm sorry to here your husband got laid off :(

Great idea! :multi: That didn't even occur to me.

And thanks, bad timing, but chit happens, and hopefully not for long.
I've already tore down my FW and both of them are going in the basement for later. This will give me more time to learn.
