while im on . silly question should i clean the sand or just the the clean up crew do it

My tank is 6 months old and I have a massive CUC I haven't touched my sand. The snails, sand sifting star fish, goby and the jawfish turn over my sand and make a mess of the place. I leave it alone. So far no issues to report.
