CBS and starfish?

will a coral branded shrimp and a starfish get along?

my wife wants a blue lunka(sp?) starfish and was wondering if i could have them in there together.

I have never heard of any problems between them but not every shrimp and star are the same. Here is a link on the blue Linckia.

IME my CBS and Brittle Sea Star fight every time I drop in a finger nail sized piece of raw shrimp for the Sea Star (every other week). The brittle is up to 10" now and is quite powerful and easily tosses the CBS aside when it tries to go after the raw shrimp.

As long as the Sea Star is at least 5+" I don't think it will be an issue if you have a slightly more aggressive CBS.

IMO the CBS is one of the more impressive shrimps both in size and color (my CBS's body is 4" long now with 6" long antenna) and is not afraid to stay out in the open. I have peppermint and cleaner shrimps also but they tend to hide unless food is present.

My CBS only comes out at night. My cleaner is out all the time ... go figure. I have a brittle that is probably about 12" across and a orange Linkia. CBS and cleaner have been with me 3+ years. The Linkia about a year and the brittle about 2 months.

All are fine for now ...
