Thank you for sharing, I just picked up a Miami Hurricane as my very first. Pretty excited its starting to change to the tealish color with the yellow outlined red eyes. Was a plum and blue grey color at first. I've had it for 2 wks. I really love them too, soooo many to choose from!!! Lol

Holy smokes I just saw a 1/2" frag of that convict for $300. I would be so scared at that price. Hahahaha I wonder if I could get a 1/8" frag!

I just got a frag of one I think is going to look like the second picture of yours SWSCJ, but hasn't grown out much yet. Thsi one is one of my first corals. I got it when it only had six eyes about 18 months ago.

I saw a very nice frag of a chalice of some sort last week at Pacific Coast East. The base color was burgundy, it had yellow eyes and a green rim. The size was maybe 1.5" x 1". I asked out of curiousity how much it was, and the guy waiting on me said he'd sell it for $100, but was really trying to grow it out. I told him I hoped it grew out fast so he could sell me a fragg for much less!

You've got some very nice pieces, my friend grow corals also, lol the only freebies so far where my ORA neon birdsnest and the Miami Hurricane chalice. I've never had them before, but I sure like them now.

Went to the NJ frag swap today looking for a specific torch (which I bought) and a convict chalice but the closest they had was a jack o lantern. They wanted $200 for a pice the size of a nickel so I passed. But I'd probably pay that for a convict.

How do you keep sand off the chalice in the sandbed? If I tried that its be covered in no time.
