Changing sand

I've been considering switching my old sand it's a white sand with black chunk things (for contrast) to just a plain white sand .

Anyone ever done this before and how did you do it how did it turn out ?

You'll want to draw it out with your siphon hose. Only do a 25% area and then you'll use a pvc to slide the sand to the area you just removed.

And just do that till the exchange is done? Or at least as much as I want to change ?

Yes. I would do those 25% increments maybe with a week between them.

That's how I did mine. The wet sand sliding down the tube to the bottom will minimize a dust storm.
