Chocolate chip star

Can/will a chocolate chip sea star go after inverts such as hermits, peppermint shrimp, or emerald crabs if it is well fed?

no, It may eat some type of coral, but the only inverts it can eat are clams and similar.

As long as they are healthy, no. If they are on the verge of death/sick they can easily become the next meal. Also, as PB said, knobby starfish aren't reef safe around corals or clams.

Ok thanks. I wouldn't have any coral or other stationary inverts anyway.
