Would a chocolate chip starfish be ok in my reef tank? I have some buttons, a bubble coral, an elegance coral, mushrooms, 1 short and 1 long tentacle plate coral, a red soft chili coral and a Tridacna Derasa clam.

I've heard these stars are not safe with some corals, but i don't know which ones.

Thanks for any suggestions mates!

Your chocolate chip will eat LOTS of things in a reef tank. How about some brittle stars or if your daring, some linkias (they are hard to keep but reef safe) Just ACCLIMATE them properly (DRIP)

Fromia stars are reef safe and the brittles and serpents, the linckias are reef safe, but require a well established reef tank of at least 100g or they will starve.

I have had my choco for about a year now and he has never bothered any of my corals. (mushrooms, green star, gorgs, colt, buttons, frogspawn, sun polyps, open brain, daisy polyps, toadstool leather,).
He seems quite content with algae and detriuos.
