Chocolate chip starfish

Bought chocolate chip starfish the other day at my lfs and its all a tan color with no black on it at all. The owner said hes had it for 3 weeks and its been the samecolor the whole time. Im hoping it not sick, any ideas??

Not sure about the coloring, but you do know that it is not reef safe at all right?

I've seen them come In couple different color varieties. So I'm pretty sure that he is healthy.

Yes i know its not reef safe, hes in my fowlr tank.
