Claire's fairy wrasse

OK guys very serious question..I can get these right now. The ones on Reef Builder are the exact ones. I went down to see them. They are priced at 10K but I can get them for $8K OR if I pay the 10K, he'll give me a slightly used floor model Elos 160. What do you think?

I think it is money better spent somewhere else.

If these are so rare, they belong in either the wild or a public aquarium.

And this won't happen where they are. they are sitting in a 50 gallon cube. The owner will either keep them or sell them to whoever wants them. If I could pony up the cash, they will not be in better hands.

I agree that it is cool to have something that rare, but with so little known, I'm not sure if pay that much. Let someone else make mistakes , collect data and then buy one down the road when more is known about it. There are other rare wrasses that I think are more impressive and for less. That's just my two cents.

Besides, how do you know how old they are or will get and you buy fish which are elderly.
