there all good. 400 / 8.3

I hear that its the iron from my phosban reactor.

Does that sound right too you?

Where did you get the clam from?

Sounds like a case of pinched mantle, caused by a parasite. I would contact Barry on Clams Direct, he has had good success with Metronidazole treatments in a seperate QT. FW dips have also shown promise.

Cheers

I've never come across that. I'm not sure about that...

What type of lighting do you have?

The reason I asked is because that's a Crocea clam. Crocea's are the most light demanding of all the tridacnid clams. MH is almost always recommended as the sole type of lighting to keep these under, and I would agree. Too much light is just about impossible for these clams- assuming they are properly acclimated. Too little and they will fade in color and health over the period 6-12 months. FWIW I had mine 4" under the surface and directly below a 250w MH and it loved it! Good luck.
