I have two saltwater clams in a separate container that is at 1.022 density. I also have a brackish aquarium with a green spotted puffer that is at 1.016. I was wondering if the clams would die if put into the aqarium that will rise about .01,.02 salinity every 2 days? I know also the puffer might eat them.

I know also the puffer might eat them.

More likelihood than "might".

Just go for the full SW conversion for your tank. Stability salt level is a lot better than a fluctuating one. Raise the SG by no more than .002 per week.
