Cleaning Crew?

I have a 55 gal reef tank and was wondering how many snails/crabs (any cleaning crew members) should i have? is there some sort of number u should have per gallon?

It all depends on what your tank is like. If you have tons of algae, don't just dump like 100 in, because they will eat it all really quick, but then at least half will die off. Start lower then you think, maybe 10-15 assorted things, wait 1-2 weeks, and if they haven't made any sort of dent in your problems, add 5-10 more and repeat.

I agree with jimbo. Start slow then add as needed. Then you won't buy anything for nothing.
