cleaning dirty spots on substrate?

i have in certain places, dirty (surface) spots, dark areas os sand where i suppose waste or excess foods build up. my substrate is crushed argonite, and moving it around only clouds up the tank.

a turkey baster wont works well either. the sand isn't awful or putrid, should the sand and microbes get to it in time, or should i get a sand moving detritovore.

my only sand movers are some small nassarius snails

This is my sand mover and he is the best there is. He runs over my 125 in a day or two. He is a bullet goby. Here is a link on him and then his pic in my tank.

I was gonna say Melosu swears by those bullet gobys. You can look into increasing your arsenal of nassarius snails as well. Only other thing I could think of to try would be to increase water flow in the area it's growing.
