What are your water parameters? Does the tank contained cured live rock? Did you cycle the tank prior to adding the fish/coral? It sounds as if you are having a bacteria bloom which would lead me to believe the tank has traceable ammonia/nitrites and is not fully cycled.
Also, being that you have 1 coral in a brand new tank, I would caution against adding any supplements. It is unlikely that supplements would be necessary given you have 1 coral in a brand new tank. Small water changes are all that would be needed to maintain proper conditions for growth.
