clown goby help

hey all im approaching the start of my cycle very soon im so excited. i wanted to get two yelloe gobys for my tank ive read they can be jumpers. has amyone here had an experience with a jumping goby i planed on an open top tank but i really want the lil buggers so i will get a top for the tank if needed

I had a diamond watchman goby that jumped out of my closed top tank. I have 2 holes in the back corners of my tank that are where my pipes come in and out. They are about 2 inches across at the most, and that hole is made smaller by the pipes. Some how he still managed to get through one of those holes. Not a very pleasant surprise to find behind my tank.

But I have a yellow watchman goby right now and he seems a lot calmer and has shown no signs of jumping, the diamond would jump out of the water and bounce off the top.

I think it varies between species and between fish. But definitely get a top if ur considering a goby just in case urs end up as bonkers as mine was.

where can i get one of those glass or acrylic tops are they expensive

Petsmart sells them for less than $20. I have glass covers on most of my tanks except for the 55g sw.

i dont beleive mine does i havnt seen them would i have to ask specialy for it

Maybe, they come in pretty small boxes and are usually right by the hoods.

I believe the box is green. Its only gonna be like 20" by 4". I got the 24x13 ones for 17.99 each.
