This is so cool! I just added a 3 inch bubble tip anemone in my tank. In about 2 minutes my maroon hosted it. Didnt take long. How do these fish know they can host it. It was placed at the end of of a 8 foot tank and found it right away. Just amazing

It's just instinct. They'll hist just about anything. They're driven to find someplace to call home. Be aware that an overzealous clown can harass a new or young anemone to death. Just keep an eye on it. If the anemone looks stressed out, just separate them for a while.
Mine hosts a feather duster worm.

I've got Torch, frogspawn, toadstool and hammers in my tank. Never wanted to host these things. But after a couple of minutes it hosted the anemone.

Yeah, clowns are funny that way. Had my bubble tip longer than the feather duster. She ignored the anemone completely. A week or so after putting the worm in, she was in it.
