I have 2 ocellaris clowns and a royal gramma in a 10 gal QT. They have been there for 2 weeks. One of the clowns is noticeably lighter in color than the other one, when I bought them I couldn't tell them apart. The brighter one is the "alpha". Could there be a change in color because of stress? Everyone is eating but there is a hierarchy going on.
I have nothing in the tank except PVC pipe for hiding, a heater, air stone, and a small Aquaclear 150 with carbon and a sponge filter that had been in my DT for 6 months. I've done 1 3gal water change Wednesday and I'm feeding every other day. My ammonia is a little high, 0.25, and I'm planning to do another water change tomorrow.
Any reason why this little guy is fading in color?
