I had bought another clown about a week ago to go along with my other clown that has been in my tank for about 2 months. Ever since about last tuesday, the new clown has been chasing and nibbling on the other clowns body. Is this normal? Are they just establishing dominance?

Pretty much normal. Are they close to the same size? When introducing a second one it is better for it to be bigger or smaller so they will not fight so much. One of them will take control and become the female soon.

Is that true if they are different kinds of clowns?

What kind of clowns are they? Some species are more aggressive than others.

One of them is a true percula and the other is also i think... he was labled as one at the lfs but he's a big brighter than the perc.

Also, my clown that has been in the tank for sometime just hides all day or at least 70% of it. Is this normal also?
