anybody know the compatibility of a damsel a peppermint shrimp and a starfish. I remember a while ago somebody posted a link to a great compatibility chart, anybody know where that link is?

Depending on the species of star, I don't think the three of those will pose any issues to one another.

I would not rely too heavily on those kinds of charts. They are at best, very loose guidelines.

Remember, the fish you buy can't read them and won't always behave the same...

All starfish will require a slow drip acclimation and are not tolerant of changes in salinity, temp and ph, with that...brittle stars, serpent stars, fromias and if you are willing to do a very slow (6 hour) slow drip acclimation the linckia stars are hardy once established. One thing to note on the linckias, they also need a minimum of 100g tank full of well established LR.
