Hey guys i was just wondering if you knew how to cool down a tank without chiller or ice cubes. What i was thinking was to freeze a water bottle and putting in sump to kool everythin down but wat if i go on vacation?

That'll work in an emergency situation, sure.

Otherwise, for a more long-term solution you can run a decent sized fan accross your sump.

But with that I would have some kind of auto top-up (unless you have someone who can do it for you while on vacation) as you will have a fair amount of evaporation and that can really increase the salinity.

I added one of these to my sump, worked fine tank temp stays between 78-80 on my 55g. I use a 20g all glass aquarium as a sump so I did have to cut part of the black lip that is used to support lids but it is working like a charm so far Azoo cooling fan
