My tank is cycling and temp is about 81 degrees. I was wondering if a small fan over the sump would cool it down a degree or two?

Any thoughts???

Thanks in advance :)

Think I answered my own question by doing some searching. Sounds like this will work pretty well. Trying to get to about 79 degrees so the fish will be :)

Also, many of you say to leave the top off. I am worried about this as with my first tank, I lost a fish (clown) when he jumped out of the tank. Doesn't this happen to you without a top, or did she just not like my tank!

I use plastic egg-crate instead of glass. It can be found at hd in the lighting section. It is a white plastic grid with 1/2 " holes to prevent carpet surfing
