Coquina Clams

I'm on vacation in St. Simon Island on the Georgia coast. There are a ton of tiny coquina clams on the shoreline. They are pretty cool the way they burrow into the sand.

Has anyone ever put these in a sw tank? If so, what has been your experience and are they safe?

I am going to start adding corals in about a week but currently have reef safe fish including a few inverts.

I'm not sure how they'd do in a typical reef. I'd be afraid it would be too warm for them.
