Is feeding corals necessary if there is ample quality light present, barring non-photosynthetics. Or is this a more species specific requirement? I know most softies don't really need it, but I'm meaning LPS and SPS.

If you have fish and feed them, the corals will get all they need from the fish waste.

I know some say you don't need to- but I feed phyto and I see very nice growth in my tank.

Lol. Nice. I feed my torch. It has tripled in size since I got it. Its about 8 heads now and 9 inches across happy Maybe once a week I cut up a silverside into 3 or 4 pieces and feed it
