Coral growth

I bought it for $10 was rather small at the shop then once in my tank it grew at least 4x it's size at the shop :)
 
Does look like new growth.

You've got a major hair algae problem. Are you using RO water and testing phosphates?
 
Holy crap!! I would have turned the lights down to nill and had a friend hold my corals until that got under control. What was the issue?
 
The rock came out of my old nano that was really bad with cyano I tried removing as much as possible but the cyano stayed and grew I had a cycle going in my tank and it all spread rapidly and then the cyano died out but in it's place came the hair algae I was only running a two bulb t5ho light from a 2 ft tank here is what it's like now I added a sand bed ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1391047844.695399.jpg
