T-5s are cheaper than LEDs initially BUT after having to replace the bulbs T-5s can get expensive and also cost to run them

so LEDS cost a little more at first but between saving the cost for replacement and to run there cheaper over all

hope that came out right

I kick myself all the time for not going LED
maybe santa will see this

Thanks. I will probably go with LEDs then. What type of system would I need? What are the different options?

In my opinion and research. Kessil a350 W are the best bang for your buck. I have a 65 gl corner tank and my corals love it. Don't try to save and buy the 150. You cannot change the settings on it.

Here is my tank on 3 different types of LED =)
tank is 24x24x24
pictures are taken under different camera setting so some coloration are a bit diff. Just give you a general idea. Also I didn't have a chance to take a full tank shot for the 3rd light, but will try to do it later

under 72W LED

under 108W

And 90W CREE fixture
(sry for the bad pic, cuz taken by my iphone lol)

Yes, I only have one with arm bracket. I think 1 is perfect for a 65 gl corner tank.

Good LED's are expensive. Some cost double the amount of a Kessil. Energy saving, wont have to replace bulbs and doesn't get as hot in temp. You won't find a better led for the price.
