Coral prop

Anyone ever tried fragging a brain, or an elephant skin??? Out of all the thousands of dollars in our 120 gal, there are only two corals that I REFUSE to let the other half chop up! An open brain, and an elephant skin. Just wondered if anyone has mastered this, if so, how did you do it and how long does it take to heal?
