Coral vs. Lighting

I have the 48" version of this light fixture:

Compact Fluorescent Aquarium Lighting: Coralife Aqualight Double Compact Fluorescent Strip Lights

I have a 55 gal. tank and I was wondering what kind of corals are suitable with this type of lighting. I already have a few basic corals (mushrooms, etc..) but would it be reasonable to get an anemone or other corals/ invert. that require stronger lighting? Thanks

shrooms, buttons, zoas, gsp all those would do fine as i started with that fixture on my 55 i couldn't have anything i wanted though...i dont recommend an anenome because its will turn white thats what happened to me until i got t-5's

some would say xenia but my xenia didn't like that light. some soft corals would be fine this is jmo not a experts on corals so wait for someone with better knowlegde to chime in on this.

You would be able to have most soft and LPS corals with that lighting. As far as anenomes and SPS corals you probably need T5 or MH lighting. They have the needed intensity you`ll need.

Be prepared to change the bulbs every 6-8 months. PC bulbs don't last long.

Thanks guys that pretty much answers my question. Sounds like my Maroon Clown won't get a partner any time soon haha
