Coralife Aqualite vs. Custom Sealife Smartlite

hey guys,

I have a 10 gallon nano im starting and i have the option of a coralife aqualight 24" 36w or a Custom Sealife Smartlite same size and rating. Anyone have experiences with either of these? Also would 36w be enough for open brain and other corals?

Take this with a grain of salt (I'm not fond of Coralife products), but you will be much happier with the CSL fixture. I have a CSL prism Pendant and it has worked flawlessly for the last 5 years I cannot say the same for any Coralife product I have ever owned.

Also would 36w be enough for open brain and other corals?

I'd say your on the low end of the lighting scale (even for a 10), but could probably do open brain, bubble and a few other low light tolerant LPS and softies. Keeping in mind, LPS are very difficult (and not recommended) to frag and they grow quite large
